"The scenography by this former student of French dancer and choreographer Maurice Béjart is based on the tradition of classical ballet but also on gestures inspired by children's games, island rituals, urban life and natural phenomena. This show is part of a series called Westchester Wednesday Dance. The troupe will give three other performances on Wednesday February 20, April 24 and June 26, 2019.
Created in 2011, the company of the Ballet of the Americas is made up of professional dancers. Always surprising, Carole Alexis’s style is renowned for being a subtle blend of insight and humor. The choreographer's register is both vast and eclectic, which appeals to even the most novices in the field".
